Sol Invictus

Sol Invictus is a Latin phrase that means "Unconquered Sun". Today, it is most often used to refer to a sun god from ancient Roman times. People believed that the sun, called Sol Invictus, was the most powerful and invulnerable god. Sol Invictus was a very important part of the ancient Roman religion and festivals were held in honor of Sol Invictus every year. People would gather to celebrate and make offerings to show their respect and gratitude.
