Solar power plants in the Mojave Desert

Solar power plants in the Mojave Desert use the sun's energy to create electricity. To do this, they use large fields of mirrors that reflect and concentrate the sun's light onto a central tower. This tower absorbs the heat and uses it to power a generator. The generator creates electrons—the tiny particles that make up electricity— which are then sent to homes and businesses. This process is called solar power, and it is an efficient way to create electricity without burning any fuel or harming the environment.
