Soldering iron

A soldering iron is a tool that grown-ups use to stick two things together. It's like using glue, but instead of using liquid glue, they use heat to melt a special metal called solder. This special metal is kind of like a glue that only works when it's melted like cheese.

The soldering iron looks like a long stick with a metal tip that gets really hot. It's important to always be very careful around it and never touch it with your hands. Grown-ups use the soldering iron to melt the solder and then they use it to stick wires or other small things together.

When the solder cools down, it gets really hard and it's like a permanent bond that won't come apart unless someone heats it up again. That's why grown-ups often use a soldering iron to fix things around the house or at work.

Remember, always be careful around the hot soldering iron and never try to use it without the help of a grown-up!
