Son preference

Okay kiddo, let's talk about son preference.
You know how sometimes people want different things in a family, like one person might want pizza for dinner and the other might want burgers? Well, some families want more sons than daughters.

In some countries, like in parts of Asia, people think that having a son is better than having a daughter. They might feel like sons can do more things, like work outside and carry on the family name, while daughters can't do as much.

This can be a problem because some families might treat their daughters differently and not give them the same opportunities as their sons. This is called gender discrimination, and it's not fair. Plus, it's not true that sons are better than daughters or vice versa.

We should love all of our children equally and give them the chance to be their best selves, no matter if they're a boy or a girl.
