Sonora in the Mexican Revolution

Okay, so Sonora is a state in Mexico. And a long time ago, there was a big fight in Mexico called the Mexican Revolution.

Now, during this big fight, a lot of people in Sonora didn't like the way things were going. They were upset about something called the "Porfirio Díaz regime" which was a fancy way of saying they didn't like the way the government was working.

So they got together and formed their own army called "the Liberation Army of the North." And they fought against the government to try and change things.

It was a really big deal because a lot of people in Sonora were poor farmers and they wanted things like better wages and more rights. And the Revolution was all about making things better for people like them.

So, the people of Sonora played a really important role in the Mexican Revolution. They fought hard and weren't afraid to stand up for what they believed in. And their bravery helped to change things in Mexico for the better.
