Sopater of Berea

Okay kiddo, so there was a man named Sopater from a town called Berea. He lived a long time ago in the time when Jesus was alive. Sopater was a very important person because he was chosen to be one of the leaders of his town. People looked up to him as a wise man and respected him a lot.

Now, Sopater was also a very good friend of a man named Paul who was traveling to different places to teach people about Jesus. When Paul came to Berea, Sopater was very excited to hear what Paul had to say. Paul taught Sopater and the people of Berea about Jesus and they all listened carefully to what he had to say.

Sopater became a follower of Jesus too and he helped Paul by giving him advice and making sure that everything was going well in the town. They became very good friends and Sopater even traveled with Paul to visit other towns and spread the word about Jesus.

So Sopater was a very important person in Berea who helped spread the message of Jesus and was a good friend of Paul.
