Sort code

A sort code is like a special address for banks. Just like how we have a house address for our friends to find us, banks have a sort code so other banks can know where they are located. When we send money to someone, the banks use sort codes to find the right bank and then the right person's account in that bank. It's an important number that helps money travel to the right place.
