Sound proofing

When you are in your room and your mom is listening to music in the next room, sometimes you can still hear her music even though your door is closed. This is because sound can travel through walls and doors. Sound proofing is like putting a special blanket or bubble around your room so that sound cannot travel inside or outside easily. It involves using special materials that can block, absorb, or reflect sound waves. These materials can include things like thick curtains, carpets, foam panels or boards, drywall, and special insulation. People use sound proofing to make their rooms quieter and more peaceful, so they can sleep better or focus on their work without getting distracted by outside noise.
