Hey there kiddo!
Did you know that a long, long time ago, there were dinosaurs walking around the planet? Yep, they were huge creatures that looked like lizards and they lived in different parts of the world, including the South Pole!
Now, the South Pole is a very cold and icy place, but back then it was a bit different. The weather was still chilly, but it was also home to many different kinds of animals and plants, including some pretty big and strong dinosaurs.
Scientists have actually found the fossils of these South Polar dinosaurs, which helps them learn more about what they were like. Some of these dinosaurs were called Cryolophosaurus and Glacialisaurus. They had long necks and tails, sharp teeth, and big, powerful legs that helped them walk and run.
It's pretty cool to think that these massive beasts once lived in the same place where today we only see snow and ice! But we're lucky to have found their fossils, which help us piece together what life was like on our planet millions of years ago.
