Okay, so there's this place called Cameroon and it's in Africa. But something tricky happened a long time ago when Cameroon was being ruled by bigger countries that weren't from Africa. They split Cameroon into two parts, one in the north and one in the south.
The southern part is called Southern Cameroon and the people there feel different from the people in the rest of Cameroon because they speak a different language and have different traditions. They wanted to be their own country, with their own government and leaders, kind of like when you play make-believe with your friends and you pretend to be a queen or a president of your own country.
But the bigger countries that used to rule Cameroon didn't want Southern Cameroon to be its own country, so they made them join back with the other part of Cameroon. The people in Southern Cameroon didn't like this because they wanted to be their own country with their own leaders.
And so now, there are still people in Southern Cameroon who want to separate from the rest of Cameroon and be their own country. But it's a complicated issue and different people have different opinions about what should be done.
