Southern Italy

Southern Italy is a place that is located in the bottom part of Italy. It has lots of different areas with lots of different names, like Sicily and Puglia.

In the past, lots of different groups of people have lived in Southern Italy. Some of them were Greeks, Romans, and Normans. All of these groups left their own marks on the place, like buildings, art, and food.

Southern Italy is also a place with lots of natural beauty. There are beautiful coastlines with beaches, mountains, and volcanoes.

People in Southern Italy like to eat delicious food, like pizza, pasta, and seafood. They also like to celebrate different festivals, like the Feast of Saint Joseph, where they eat special pastries called zeppole.

In Southern Italy, people speak Italian, but they also have their own dialects and accents. Some people even speak other languages, like Sicilian or Greek.

Overall, Southern Italy is a really cool and interesting place with lots of history, beautiful scenery, and yummy food!
