ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Southern Reporter

Okay kiddo, have you ever heard of a newspaper? It's like a big piece of paper that people write stories on and then lots of people can read it. Well, a southern reporter is a type of newspaper but it's specifically for the southern part of a certain place, like a state or a country.

So, let's pretend we live in a place called Stateville and it's divided into two parts, north and south. If we have a southern reporter for Stateville, it means that people who live in the southern part of Stateville can read news and stories that are specifically about their area.

Maybe the southern reporter will have stories about local events happening in the south, like a big fair or a parade. Or maybe it will have stories about important things going on in the government that affect people who live in the south.

Basically, a southern reporter is just a way for people who live in a certain area to find out what's going on around them and to read stories that are relevant to their community in the southern part.
