Soviet Union

The Soviet Union was a country that existed from 1922 until 1991. It was the largest country in the world and had many different cultures and languages inside it. The capital of the Soviet Union was Moscow. People lived in the Soviet Union were called Soviet Citizens. The Soviet Union had its own economic system and government. The government was made up of one party called the Communist Party. This party was in control of all parts of life throughout the country. The Soviet Union focused a lot on togetherness and taking care of each other, as well as science and technology, and the military. They were very powerful and competed with the United States during the Cold War. Unfortunately, the Soviet Union eventually broke apart and the countries that were once a part of it became independent nation states.
