Ok kiddo, so a long long time ago, Armenia was its own country with its own government and leaders. But then, the Soviet Union, which was a big group of countries with a special type of government, wanted to take over Armenia and make it part of the Soviet Union.
This meant that Armenia would have to follow the rules and ways of the Soviet Union. The Soviet Union had a very strict government system where one person or a small group of people controlled everything. They also had certain ways of doing things like farming and working that everyone had to follow.
So when Armenia became part of the Soviet Union, they had to follow these rules too. The leaders of Armenia had to listen to the leaders of the Soviet Union and do what they said. They also had to change the way things were done in Armenia to fit the Soviet Union's ways.
This was called the Sovietization of Armenia. It lasted for a long time until the Soviet Union broke apart and Armenia became its own country again. But some parts of the Soviet Union's ways can still be seen in Armenia today.
