Spatial decision support system

A Spatial Decision Support System is a type of computer program that helps people make decisions based on both physical location, and specific data. It gathers information like maps that show different features of a space as well as details about the environment and other topics related to a certain location. For example, it can collect information on how populated an area is, what kinds of plants and animals live in the area, or what the climate is like. It can also assign a score to a location based on all this information, which can help people decide where to build something, or how to manage an area.
