ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Spatial scale

Spatial scale is like a map. It's a way of understanding how things are organized in the world around us. It describes how things are spread out, or how big or small things are compared to each other. Imagine a map of the world; different countries and continents are different sizes, and different cities are different distances away from each other. That's an example of spatial scale. We can use spatial scale to understand things like how far apart two cities are, or how big a country is compared to another.
