The Special Activities Division (SAD) is a secret group of people at the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). They are responsible for carrying out difficult and dangerous missions across the world, usually related to national security. The SAD team works outside of the normal restraints of the CIA, which means they are able to take larger risks and do activities that the CIA's normal staff are not allowed to. These activities include intelligence gathering, paramilitary operations, counter-terrorism, and psychological warfare. They also work to protect American diplomatic interests and citizens abroad.
