Specialty Registrar (StR)

A specialty registrar, or STR, is a doctor who has finished medical school and is in the process of completing additional training in a particular medical specialty. STRs work with specialists to learn how to diagnose and treat illnesses in their specialty. They also get to practice their medical skills in hospitals and clinics. Basically, an STR is someone who is in the process of learning to become a medical specialist.
