Spectral graph theory

Spectral graph theory is a branch of mathematics that studies the properties of graphs and how they are represented using numbers. Graphs are like maps that have lines connecting different points. Spectral graph theory uses numbers to represent those lines, so we can figure out more about the connection between the points. For example, if the numbers show that two points are really close, then we know those points are connected very strongly.
