ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Split octal

Split Octal is a way of writing numbers in a different way. Octal numbers look like regular numbers but have an "8" at the beginning. Instead of grouping the number by threes, each group is split into two of the same numbers. This can make it much easier to read and understand the numbers. For example, an octal number like 8000000 could be written as 800 000 0.
