Spread of the Latin script

Alright kiddo, so do you know what the Latin script is? It's the way we write words using the letters A, B, C, D and so on. It comes from the ancient Romans who used it to write in their language, Latin.

So now, let's talk about how this script spread to other parts of the world. A long time ago, people used different scripts to write in their own languages, like the Chinese script in China or the Arabic script in the Middle East.

But as time passed by, people started to learn about the Latin script and how useful it could be. One reason was because the Roman Empire was really powerful and people wanted to communicate with them, so they had to learn how to write using the Latin script.

Later on, when Europeans started exploring other parts of the world, they also brought the Latin script with them. They used it to write down their discoveries and to teach the local people how to read and write.

As more and more people learned how to use the Latin script, it became more popular and widely used. Nowadays, it's used in many countries around the world, including the United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil and many European countries.

So there you have it, we use the Latin script because it's easy to learn and understand, and it has been spread all over the world over many centuries.
