ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Spreader (mining)

Okay kiddo, have you ever heard of mining? It's like when people dig deep into the earth or the ground to find valuable things like gold, silver, and other metals. And when they find these metals, they use different tools and machines to extract them and bring them up to the surface.

One of the things they use to extract these valuable metals is called a spreader. A spreader is like a large machine that has a big bucket on it. This bucket scoops up the dirt, rocks, and other materials from the ground where the miners think there might be valuable metals that they want to extract.

Then the spreader takes all this material and spreads it out in a big pile so that the miners can separate the valuable metals from the rest of the stuff. This is called mining, and it helps us get the metals we need to make things like cars, phones, and buildings.

So basically, a spreader is a big machine that helps miners get the materials they need to find valuable metals deep in the ground. It scoops up the dirt and rocks and then spreads it out so that the valuable metals can be extracted.
