Stalin's Peasants

So, you know how people can grow food on farms? Well, in Russia a long time ago there was a leader named Joseph Stalin who wanted to make the country really strong and powerful. But to do that, he needed lots of food for everyone to eat.

To get that food, Stalin made new laws that forced farmers to give up their own food and give it to the government. The government would then give the food to the people who needed it.

But this made many farmers angry because they worked hard to grow their own food, and now they had to give it away. Some even had their farms taken away from them. It made it hard for the farmers to survive and they became poor.

Stalin didn't like this, so he made new rules that made it even harder for the farmers. They couldn't sell their own crops anymore, and they had to work harder for very little pay. They also had to live together in big groups, which was very hard because they had to share everything.

It was a very tough time for the farmers in Russia under Stalin's rule. Many of them suffered and died because they didn't have enough food or resources to survive. It was a sad time in Russia's history.
