Star of David theorem

Imagine you have a special shape that is made up of two overlapping triangles. This shape is called the Star of David, and it looks like a six-pointed star.

Now, the Star of David theorem says that if you take any triangle and draw an equilateral triangle on each of its sides, the six points where the tips of those triangles meet will always form a Star of David shape.

It's kind of like a puzzle that has only one solution - no matter what triangle you start with, if you draw those equilateral triangles on each side, the points will always come together to make this special Star of David shape.

Mathematicians find this theorem very interesting because it's a way of proving a pattern that always stays the same no matter what kind of triangle you use. It's like magic - or maybe just really cool math!
