ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

State of Judea

Okay kiddo, so a long time ago, there was a place called Judea. It was a region in the Middle East where a group of people called the Jewish people lived. They had their own religion and customs, and they believed in one God.

Judea was ruled by different people throughout history, like the Romans and the Greeks. But at one point, a kingdom was established in Judea, and it was ruled by a Jewish king named Herod the Great.

However, this kingdom didn't last very long, and in 70 AD, the Romans came in and destroyed the city of Jerusalem, which was the capital of Judea. This was a really sad time for the Jewish people, and many of them were forced to flee the area.

Today, there is no longer a state of Judea, but the Jewish people still have a strong connection to the land and the history of their ancestors who lived there. They have their own country called Israel, which is located in the same area as Judea used to be. It's a place where they can practice their religion and carry on their traditions.
