ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Stationary front

A stationary front is like a big wall made of air that can't decide which way to go. Sometimes the warm air wants to move forward and sometimes the cool air wants to push ahead. Because they are both so strong, no one can win and the wall just stays in one place. When the warm air and cool air meet at the wall, they can make a lot of rain or snow. So, a stationary front is a place where warm and cool air meet but can't move, and it can make a lot of rain or snow.
