Statue menhir

Let's pretend we are on a big adventure outside and we stumbled upon a Statue Menhir! A Statue Menhir is a really, really big piece of rock that has been made into a statue by people who lived a very long time ago.

The Statue Menhir looks like a person standing up and it is very tall. It is so tall that it could be as tall as a whole bunch of grown-ups stacked on top of each other! People who made this statue a long, long time ago wanted to honor something or someone important, so they made this big statue to show how special that person or thing was.

The statue is also special because it has carvings on it. These carvings are like drawings, but they are made by scratching into the rock with sharp tools. The carvings might show pictures of important people, like a king or a queen, or they might show animals that were really important to the people who lived a long time ago.

Even though the people who made the Statue Menhir are no longer around, their creation still stands today for people like us to discover and learn about what life was like a long time ago!
