Stealth banning

Have you ever played hide and seek with your friends? Sometimes, when you are hiding, your friends might not be able to find you, but they also might not want to tell you that they can't find you. That's kind of like what stealth banning is.

Stealth banning is when someone gets banned from an online community or social media platform, but they don't know they have been banned. This means they can still post comments and messages, but nobody else can see them. It's like they are invisible to everyone else on the platform.

Why would someone do this? Well, sometimes people get banned for breaking the rules, like being mean to others or posting inappropriate content. When this happens, the platform might not want to tell them that they have been banned because they don't want to give them a chance to cause more trouble. So they just make it look like everything is normal, but nobody else can see what they are posting.

So, in summary, stealth banning is when someone gets banned from an online community but they don't know it, so they can still post but nobody else can see what they are posting. It's a way to avoid giving troublemakers a chance to cause even more trouble.
