Stick shabti

A stick shabti is a little doll that was made many many years ago in a place called Ancient Egypt. Stick shabtis were made out of clay or stone and looked like little people with big eyes and sometimes a fancy headdress. The ancient Egyptians believed that when a person died, their soul would need help with tasks in the afterlife. The stick shabti was made specifically to help a person in the afterlife.

The stick shabti was very special because it had a little stick in its hand, just like a magic wand. The ancient Egyptians believed that the stick shabti would come to life and do all the work that the person needed in the afterlife. They believed that when the person said some magic words, the stick shabti would become alive and start helping.
