Stochastic

Stochastic means something that involves luck or chance. So when you do something that is 'stochastic', you don't know exactly what will happen and you have to be lucky or have some chance at an outcome. For example, playing a game of dice is stochastic because you don't know exactly what number will land when you roll the dice - it could be any number!
