These nice things you say are like stotras!

Stotras are like poems or songs that people say to show their love and respect for their gods, goddesses, or important people. They might say things like "Oh Lord Shiva, you are so strong and powerful" or "Oh Goddess Lakshmi, you bring us wealth and happiness." By saying these nice things, people feel closer to their gods and goddesses and thank them for all the good things in their lives.

Just like when you say something nice to your friend to make them feel happy, people say stotras to make their gods and goddesses happy too. And just like how you might make new friends at the playground, people can also learn about new gods and goddesses by saying new stotras.
