Strip mall

A strip mall is like a row of shops that are all lined up next to each other, just like the different letters in a word in a book. But instead of being letters like A, B or C, they are shops like a grocery store, a toy store or a salon. These shops share a big parking lot where people can park their cars and walk between the different shops. So it's like a big shopping area where you can go and buy different things all in one place without having to go very far.
