A strongly connected component (SCC) is a group of nodes (or stations) connected together by path(s). The nodes could be people, places, pictures, or anything else that is linked together in some way. What makes an SCC special is that each node can be reached from any other node in the group.
For example, imagine a group of five friends who all know each other. They form an SCC because each of them can be reached from any other member in the group. If one of them knows someone outside their group, that person wouldn’t be part of the SCC because then, not all the nodes in the group could reach that person.
