Student engagement

Student engagement means the extent to which students are actively involved in their learning. It is how much they pay attention, how motivated they are, and how interested they are in the subject. When students are engaged, they are more likely to learn more and to do better in school. Some things that teachers can do to help increase student engagement are:

1. Have interesting lessons that have activities and games to make it more fun for the students.

2. Have discussions about the lesson so that students can talk about what they are learning with each other.

3. Allow students to work in groups so that they can support each other and collaborate.

4. Give students choices in what they learn and how they learn it so that they can find the way that works best for them.

5. Give frequent feedback and provide positive reinforcement to keep the students motivated.
