ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Study of the Hebrew language

The Hebrew language is an ancient language that people used to speak a long time ago. We can still study this language today to learn more about the people who spoke it and the things they wrote. When we study Hebrew, we learn the different letters that make up the words and the sounds that they make. It's kind of like learning a secret code! We also learn how to put the words together to make sentences and understand what those sentences mean. By studying Hebrew, we can read important books, stories, and religious texts that were written a long time ago. It's like learning about history, but through a special language.
