Suburbanization

Suburbanization is when people move from crowded cities to more spread out suburbs. Suburbs are areas that are outside cities and usually have houses, stores, schools, and parks in smaller spaces. People move to suburbs because the houses are usually bigger and more spread out, there usually isn't as much traffic, and the schools can be better than city schools. Living in the suburbs can be nice, but some people also miss the convenience of city life.
