Sultanate of Malacca

The Sultanate of Malacca was like a big group of people who lived in Malacca a long time ago. They had a boss called a sultan who was like a king. The sultan was very important and made decisions for the group.

They built big buildings called palaces where the sultan lived and worked. The people in the Sultanate traded with other groups for things they needed like food, clothes, and furniture. They also had a big navy and sailed to other countries to trade with them too.

The Sultanate of Malacca was a very powerful and rich group. But other groups wanted their power and money. One day, another group called the Portuguese came and attacked Malacca. They wanted to take over the Sultanate. Sadly, the Sultanate couldn't fight off the Portuguese and they took over the land.

Even though the Sultanate of Malacca isn't around anymore, we can still learn about how they lived and how important trade was for them.
