ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Sun in fiction

The sun is a big, glowing ball of fire in the sky that provides light and warmth for our planet. In stories, sometimes the sun is personified, which means it is given human-like qualities to make it easier for us to understand. When the sun is personified, it might be portrayed as a character with a personality and emotions, like a happy or a sad sun.

In some stories, the sun is very powerful and can do things that normal people can't do. For example, it might have the ability to control the weather, or to make things grow. Sometimes people in stories worship the sun because they think it has magical powers.

Other times, the sun is portrayed as an enemy. In these stories, the sun might be too hot, or it might cause a drought, which can be very bad for people and animals. In some stories, the sun might even be trying to destroy the world!

No matter how the sun is portrayed in fiction, it is always a very important part of the story. Without the sun, there wouldn't be any light or warmth, and the world would be a very different place.
