Sundew

Okay kiddo, so you know how some plants eat bugs? One of these plants is called a sundew.

Sundews are really cool and sometimes scary looking! They have leaves that are covered in small hairs. At the end of each hair, there is a little sticky drop that is kind of like honey.

When an insect like a fly or a moth lands on a sundew leaf, it gets stuck in the sticky drops. For the sundew, this is great because it needs nutrients from the insect to grow big and strong.

Eventually, the insect will get stuck so much that it can't get away and it will become food for the sundew.

So that's what a sundew does - it catches bugs and eats them so it can be healthy and grow. It's pretty amazing, right?
