ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Super senior

Okay kiddo, imagine you're in school and there are grades like kindergarten, first grade, second grade and so on. But there's another grade after all of them called super senior.

So, super senior is a term used in college or university for students who have been there for a long time and still haven't graduated yet. It could be because they failed some classes or changed their major, or they just decided to take longer to finish their degree.

Just like in school, when you finish one grade and move on to the next, colleges also have certain requirements you need to fulfill to move on to the next level. But sometimes, it can take longer and you become a super senior.

As a super senior, you might feel a little bit like you're in limbo because you're not quite a student, but you're also not quite a graduate yet. But that's okay, because everyone moves at their own pace in life and as long as you keep trying your best, you'll get there eventually.
