ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Super-resolution

Super-resolution is like magic glasses that help you see things better, even when they are really far away or too small to see clearly. You know how when you take a picture and zoom in, it can get blurry or pixelated? Super-resolution helps fix that problem by using fancy math to fill in the missing details and make the picture look clearer and sharper.

It's kind of like connecting the dots. Imagine you have a picture with only a few dots on it, and you want to make it look like a full picture with lots of details. Super-resolution algorithms help connect the dots by figuring out what the missing details should look like based on what's already there.

Super-resolution is really useful for scientists and engineers who need to see microscopic things like cells or tiny machines, or for astronomers who need to see faraway stars and galaxies. Without super-resolution, a lot of important information would be lost or impossible to see.
