Superfinishing

Superfinishing is like giving a very special massage to metal parts. You know how when you rub your hands together really fast, they get warm and smooth? Well, superfinishing does something like that to metal parts like gears and bearings.

First, the metal part gets cleaned really well with soap and water. Then, a special machine called a superfinishing machine is used to rub the part with a tiny, special stone that spins really fast.
