Supernatural fiction is a kind of story where strange and mysterious things happen. It's like when you see monsters, aliens, ghosts, or other weird things in movies or books. In this kind of story, the things that happen are not based on what really happens in real life. They are usually made up by the author to create a sense of excitement, curiosity or fear.
These stories often have characters with special abilities or powers that humans don't have, like being able to fly, or being really strong, or having magical powers. Sometimes they have to battle against evil forces or fight the bad guys to save the world or their loved ones.
It’s like a fairy tale or bedtime story, but for older kids and adults because sometimes these stories can be scary and make our imagination go wild! So we have to suspend our beliefs and accept that some things that happen in the story can’t happen in real life. It’s like playing pretend with our friends- creating fantastic stories and scenarios that only happen in our imagination!
