ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Superpattern

Superpattern is a cool math puzzle that involves creating a sequence of numbers that has a unique pattern. Imagine you have a long list of numbers, like this:

3 5 2 8 9 7 1 4 6

A superpattern is a special type of sequence that contains all possible shorter sequences within it. For example, the above sequence contains the following shorter sequences:

3 5 2 8, 5 2 8 9, 2 8 9 7, 8 9 7 1, 9 7 1 4, and 7 1 4 6.

A superpattern is special because no matter which shorter sequence you look for, you will always find it somewhere in the longer sequence.

Creating a superpattern is not easy, and mathematicians have been working on this problem for a long time. But once you find a superpattern, it's like you've uncovered a hidden mystery in the world of math!
