ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Supertransitive class

Okay kiddo, let me try to explain what supertransitive class means.

Imagine you have a group of friends who like to play sports together. Some sports, like basketball, require teams to have equal numbers of players on each side. Other sports, like dodgeball, can have uneven teams and still be fair.

Now, let's say the group of friends decides to play a game where they have to pass a ball to each other in a circle without dropping it. In this game, some people are better at catching and throwing than others.

If everyone in the group is equally good at catching and throwing, then they can easily pass the ball around the circle without dropping it. But if some people are much better than others, they might end up catching and throwing the ball more often.

This is where the idea of a supertransitive class comes in. A supertransitive class is a group of people or objects where there is always one that is better than another, and that one is always better than another, and so on. It's like a chain of being good at something.

For example, let's say there are three people in the group of friends who are playing the ball-passing game. If person A is better than person B, and person B is better than person C, then we can say that person A is in a supertransitive class.

Basically, a supertransitive class is a way of describing a group of things where there is a clear hierarchy of skill or ability. It's like the tallest person in a class or the fastest runner in a race. There will always be one person who is the best, and that person will always be better than someone else in the group.
