Surface engineering

Surface engineering is like dressing up a plain cake with frosting and sprinkles to make it more delicious and attractive.

Just like we add toppings and decorations to enhance the appearance and taste of a cake, surface engineering adds a layer or modifies the surface of an object to improve its properties such as strength, durability, corrosion resistance, and aesthetics.

For example, imagine a plain metal sheet. Surface engineering can be used to coat the metal sheet with a layer of another metal or material that gives it special properties like being able to resist rust or have a better grip. This coating can also change the color or finish of the metal, making it more attractive.

Surface engineering can be used in various industries like automotive, aerospace, energy, electronics, and biomedical, to enhance the performance of their products. By making materials more durable or resistant to wear and tear, surface engineering can help items last longer and save money in the long run.
