ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Suspension (punishment)

When you break the rules, you might get punished. Sometimes, this punishment can be a suspension. It means that you won't be able to go to your school or do your regular activities for a certain amount of time, like a few days or even a few weeks.

This is like a timeout, but instead of sitting in a corner, you will stay away from school or the place you're suspended from for a while. This gives you time to think about what you did wrong and how you can behave better next time.

So, just like your parents might ground you or take away your toys when you misbehave, schools or other places can suspend you to help you learn from your mistakes.
