Swaged sleeve

A swaged sleeve is like a little jacket that goes over a wire or cable to help hold it in place. Kind of like a coat you wear to keep warm, but for the wire!

The sleeve is made out of metal and fits tightly around the wire. It has little bumps on the inside that help grip the wire so it doesn't slip out.

To put the sleeve on, a big machine called a swaging tool is used. It squeezes the sleeve really tight onto the wire. It's kind of like squeezing a toothpaste tube really hard to get all the toothpaste out.

Once the swaged sleeve is on, it helps make the wire stronger and more secure. It can also help protect the wire from getting damaged by rubbing or bending too much.

So, think of a swaged sleeve like a cozy coat for a wire that helps keep it safe and strong!
