ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Swanson

Okay young one, have you ever seen a TV show called "Parks and Recreation"? Well, there's a character on that show named Ron Swanson. He's a big, tough, mustache-wearing man who likes to eat meat and avoid the government.

Now, some people really love Ron Swanson and think he's funny and cool. So, they might refer to themselves as a "Swanson" or even say something like "I am Ron Swanson."

But really, it's just a way for people to say they admire or relate to a fictional character. It's not like they think they ARE Ron Swanson, they just identify with him in some way. Does that make sense little one?
