Swap chain
A swap chain is like a toy box of pictures that a computer can show on a screen. The computer needs to be very fast to show pictures on the screen, but it can't always keep up with the speed it needs to go to keep showing new pictures all the time. So, it puts some pictures in the toy box, and shows them on the screen one by one. When it has shown all the pictures, it starts again at the beginning and keeps going like this.
